The election day in Stara Zagora district began without serious violations. All 156 sections opened on time. In the runoff, the mayors of the Radnevo and Kazanlak municipalities are voted for, in the Stara Zagora municipality, the candidates for mayors of seven villages appear in the second round.
In the municipality of Kazanlak, voting is held in 91 sections with 83 machines, said the chairman of the OIC Zdravko Balevski.
“In one of the sections, there was a problem with the first receipt, we have contacted a technician, the problem has been addressed, we hope there will be no more problems”.
In Radnevo, one complaint has already been filed by a voter from one of the city sections. Penka Zheleva, Chairperson of the Municipal Election Commission:
“It refers to the fact that a second seal of the ballot paper is not affixed, the Code provides for the imposition of a fine”.
In 4 of the seven villages in the municipality of Stara Zagora, in which the second round of the mayoral elections is held, the vote is also by machine.
“For now, everything is calm, we have information that they opened on time and voting is going on normally,” informed the chairwoman of OIC-Stara Zagora Teodora Krumova.
