Election day in the Upper Oryakhiv village of Vrabnitsa begins with tension and threats to block polling stations, reports Nova TV. Residents of the village are dissatisfied because of added names in the voter lists, which the locals do not know.
Nearly 60 people have gathered in front of the school in the village. People are demanding that there should be no vote buying and that those added to the list of the principle of sedentism should not be allowed to vote. This request cannot be fulfilled for voters who are registered in compliance with the election rules for a minimum of 6 months of residence.
There were similar protests in the first round of the local elections by voters included in the lists, who turned out to be unknown to the locals.
The Ministry of the Interior reported a calm start to the election day and announced a phone number and email for reporting election violations – 02 90 112 98 and [email protected]. Specially opened telephone lines and e-mails are also available in the regional directorates of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, BNR reports.
