Strange turnout all day. This is the situation at today’s runoff in the Stolipinovo district, a reporter told TrafficNews. Anomalies can be seen in schools in the district, and the members of the sectional election commissions cannot give a conclusion whether the turnout in the second round is very weak compared to the previous one.
The reason for this is that some of the sections reported a good percentage in the afternoon hours, but others remained literally empty and only 3.4 people voted. The data so far indicate that 5,830 people voted in the “East” region. This equates to 13.5%, which means voter turnout is low.
IN “Pencho Slaveykov” Elementary School the voter turnout so far is like chess. In some sections, 9-10% of voters can be seen at 3:00 p.m., but in others, the turnout did not exceed 3%. As it usually happens, the vote in the neighborhood begins to intensify in the afternoon hours of the election day. In one of the sections in “Pencho Slaveikov” Primary School, there were only three people voting until 12:00. The percentage record holder in the school is section number 48. There, as of 3:00 p.m., the percentage exceeded 18, which means that 128 people have exercised their vote.
“Scertainly the voter turnout is lower than the previous round, but still there are voters. In general, until 9-10 o’clock there were almost no people here, now there is an increase”, shared a member of the SIC to our media.
Voter turnout in SU “Nayden Gerov” is also quite strange, but also lower. In some sections, up to 7% activity is reported in the afternoon hours. However, in the 25th section, only 5 people had cast their vote at 3:00 p.m., and the commission commented that in the previous round at the same time, about 120 people had already registered their vote.
Locals have also announced a total boycott of machine voting. Sections can be seen in both schools where the voting machine ballot boxes are completely empty until now. It seems that the residents of Stolipinovo preferred to vote with paper ballots. Of course, there are also those in which a balance has been achieved, but they are not many.
When asked if she exercised her vote and what she preferred to vote with, a resident of Stolipinovo replied that she preferred to vote with paper.
“Sure, sure, I voted. I voted with paper, I’m afraid with a machine, I don’t understand it, I’ll get something wrong”she told our media.
To date, there have been no reports of violations or incidents in any of the schools in the neighborhood. Everything is normal, there were no excesses. However, there are police or gendarmerie on every corner of the neighborhood, monitoring the normal course of the election day.
By 4:00 p.m. in Plovdiv, voter turnout was 17.25%, that is, less than 50,000 people went to the polls.
