A total of 301 reports of violations of electoral legislation and citizens’ political rights were received at 6:30 p.m. at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the institution announced.
Today, 212 voting certificates were issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As of October 31, there are a total of 558.
In the afternoon hours, there were no accidents on the territory of the country under the jurisdiction of the authorities for fire safety and protection of the population, related to the conduct of the elections.
The Ministry of the Interior reminds that reports of violations that hinder the normal course of the election process and are related to the activity of the Ministry of the Interior can be submitted to the 24-hour telephone line of the Ministry 02 90 112 98 and to the e-mail [email protected], as well as to the specially opened telephone lines and e-mails in places in the regional directorates of the Ministry of the Interior.
Police officers detained a man from Shumen following operative information that he was offering money to various people to vote, the press center of the Regional Directorate (OD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on November 4, at the intersection of “Simeon Veliki” Blvd. and “Kliment Ohridski” St. in the regional city, the driver of a passenger car with Shumen registration was stopped for a check. The procedural-investigative actions were carried out after operational information was received in the ODMVR that a man offered sums of money to various people in order to exercise their right to vote in the second round of mayoral elections taking place in Shumen. During the inspection, a sum of BGN 1,000 was found in the car driven by a 50-year-old local resident, the press center of the police in the regional city specified.

A member of the sectional election commission in the Sliven village of Gorno Alexandrovo has been charged with falsifying election results. This was reported to BTA by the spokesperson of the District Prosecutor’s Office Katya Stamenova.
The man is 39 years old, not convicted. As BTA wrote, he was detained yesterday (November 4), after reviewing a video that showed illegal actions at the end of the election day on October 29.
Three people have been detained in Provadia for making threats against voters so that they do not exercise their right to vote, Commissioner Veselin Valchanov, head of the “Criminal Police” department in the Varna Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, announced today.
The arrest was made during a police operation carried out last night, around 10:00 p.m. According to Valchanov, the three were detained for 24 hours. He specified that the men were criminally charged and convicted. According to him, they are among the iconic figures and there were signals about them buying votes in previous elections as well.
The three verbally threatened voters in the Roma neighborhood in Provadia. Valchanov clarified that the prosecutor’s office has yet to decide how the actions in the case will continue.
Two men have been detained in pre-trial proceedings for vote buying in the territory of the Nessebar village of Orizare, reported the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (ODMVR) in Burgas.
So far, it has been clarified that one of the detainees recruited intermediate “vote dealers”, and the second – directly people to vote for a certain candidate for the sum of BGN 150.
The police in Burgas informed that the two were detained for a period of up to 24 hours, and the materials collected in the case were reported to the Burgas district prosecutor’s office.
Two people were detained in the capital in connection with vote buying, the Metropolitan Directorate of Internal Affairs informed BTA. At the moment, the procedural and investigative actions are continuing.
All the necessary measures have been taken to protect public order, fire safety and ensure a peaceful election day, the authorities state categorically.

From the beginning of the campaign for the local elections until 11:00 a.m. today, the Ministry of Internal Affairs received 2,389 reports of violations of the electoral legislation and the political rights of citizens. On the day of the runoff, they were 37, reports the Ministry of the Interior.
To date, 206 pre-trial proceedings have been instituted (57 fast and 149 – according to the general procedure), of which 177 – are for violation of the political rights of citizens and 29 – for other violations related to the election process.
