In recent hours, photos of a very beautiful natural phenomenon – aurora borealis over a large part of the cities and villages in Bulgaria – have spread on social networks.
It was reported by the specialized synoptic site “Meteo Balkans” as well as by “Meteo Bulgaria”.
The aurora borealis, which was noticed initially in the north-eastern part of the country, then spread to almost all corners of Bulgaria.
The aurora borealis was also spotted in Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. There are also photos from Poland and Slovakia.
According to Meteo Balkans, the aurora is a precursor to a magnetic storm that will hit in the coming days.
