As a result of the stormy winds and heavy rain that passed through the Razgrad region yesterday, November 4, ten residential buildings were affected in the villages of Beli Lom and Veselina, Loznitsa municipality, several of which had their roof structures completely blown off, while others had partially destroyed roofs. The power grid was damaged, two power poles were compromised. Fallen trees make traffic difficult.
In this regard, the acting mayor of the Municipality of Loznitsa, Ferdi Ahmed, by order declares a partial state of emergency for the two settlements – Beli Lom and Vesselina, beginning on November 4 and for a period of three days.
The Regional Governor Vladimir Dimitrov immediately sent a representative of the Regional Administration to the two wine-growing villages. The director of the APOFUS Directorate, Svetlin Simeonov, on the spot activated the teams of Elektrorazpradelenie Sever, which began to restore the power supply. Together with the management and experts from the Municipality of Loznica and the mayors of the two villages, they described the damage to the homes. The social services were also activated, as the director of the Regional Directorate “Social Assistance” Tatiana Kostova and her team responded quickly to participate in the description of the damage to the homes, with the aim of the owners applying for one-time benefits from the Social Assistance Agency.
