Who will become mayor?

Out of 22 districts of Sofia, in which a runoff was held for the election of district mayors, the candidates of “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” won in 17 districts, most often against the nominations of GERB.

Candidates of the union do not take:
- Bankya district (where the difference with the GERB candidate is just over 680 votes);
- “Studentski” district, where the independent Petko Goranov won a second term;
- Nadezhda district, where the GERB candidate wins, but with a difference of 500 votes;
- the “Novi Iskar” districts, where an independent candidate won, and the “Pancharevo” district, where the GERB candidate won.
In the first round, the mayors of only two districts – “Sredets” and “Triaditsa” – Traicho Traikov and Dimtar Bozhilov – both from “Continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” were elected.
Winner in “Red Village” is Tsveta Nikolaeva from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia”. She led convincingly in the first round as well, and in the runoff she received 56.97% and over 13 thousand votes against 6467 votes for Rusev.
In an area “Lyulin”where the difference between the two candidates was extremely small, the winner was Georgi Todorov from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” who received 12903 votes (52.76%), and the previous mayor and candidate of GERB SDS Milko Mladenov received 7802 votes or 31.90 %
In the district runoff “Student” more votes are collected by the current mayor Petko Goranov (independent), who receives 5496 votes (50.64%) against 4632 (42.68%) for Eney Enchev from “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia”. The difference is 864 votes.
In an area “Swelling”, where the difference between the candidates of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Kristiyan Hristov and Petar Mitev from GERB SDS was less than 4%, the winner with 8228 (50.09%) is Hristov, and Mitev gets 5526 (33.24%)
Winner in “Serdica” is Momchil Daskalov from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia”, who received 5327 votes (47.62%), and 4477 people or 40.02% voted for the GERB-SDS candidate Todor Krastev
IN “Lozenets” the previous mayor from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Konstantin Pavlov wins, who collects 10669 votes (57), and his opponent Angelina Toteva from GERB – SDS receives 5644 votes or 30.15%
IN “Youth” the winner is also the candidate of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Ivaylo Kukurin, who received 16,509 votes (57.89 %), and the GERB nominee Yulian Peychev collected 7,197 votes (25.24 %)
By a margin of 364 votes the winner in a district “Kremikovtsi” is Lilia Donkova from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia”, who received 2771 votes (50.82%), and Boris Petrov from GERB received 2407 votes (44.14%).
In “Revival” there is also a new mayor. This is Stanislav Iliev from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia”, who received 6220 votes (55.83%), and the previous mayor Savina Savova from GERB was supported by 3651 people (32.77%).
In an area “Sheep Basin” the current mayor Angel Stefanov from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” won the runoff against the GERB candidate Borislav Todorov. Stoyanov received 7116 votes (52.59%), and Todorov – 4279 (31.62%).
In an area “Dump” the winner is Georgi Kuzmov from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” with 6250 (63.54 %). In second place is Yoanna Dragneva from GERB with 2279 votes (23.17%).
IN “Krasna Polyana” the winner of the runoff is Dimitar Petrov from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” with 6711 (56.65%), and the GERB candidate Chakarov gets 3588 (30.29%)
Winner of the district election “Vitosha” is Zarko Klinkov from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” with 10,064 votes (48.88%) against the previous mayor from GERB, Teodor Petkov, who received 8,384 (40.72%)
IN A bank the previous mayor Rangel Markov from GERB won a new mandate with a difference of just over 680 votes. He is supported by 2016 people (53.56%), and the candidate of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Georgi Atanasov collects 1333 (35.41%)
In an area “Slatina” the winner is the previous mayor from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Georgi Iliev with 11793 (64.16%), and the GERB candidate Borislav Borisov collects 4228 (23%)
With a difference of just over 500 votes, the runoff in the district “Hope” Dimitar Dimov from GERB wins, who gets 6858 (44.94%), and the candidate of “Continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Rumen Dimitrov collects 6334 (41.50%)
In an area “Sunrise” the winner is Delyan Georgiev, who is the previous mayor and is from “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia”. He received 6751 (62.86%), and his opponent Diyan Stamatov from GERB collected 2739 (25.91%)
In an area “Ilinden” also with a small difference of 504 votes, the candidate of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Emil Branchevsky won, who collected 4141 (46.51%), and the candidate of GERB Ivan Bozhilov, who led in the first round, was supported by 3637 people (40.85 %).
Yasen Rusev, the candidate of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” wins the runoff for the district “Iskar” with 8178 (53.40%) against Ivaylo Tsekov from GERB, who collected 4867 votes (31.78%).
In an area “Vrabnitsa” also there is a twist after the first round and the candidate of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia” Rumen Kostadinov wins the runoff. He received 4774 (48.55 %), and GERB’s Mladen Mladenov, who led in the first round, remained second with 3553 (36.14 %).
IN “Novi Iskar” the independent candidate Vladislav Vladimirov wins, receiving 4,645 (50.85%), and the GERB candidate Daniela Raycheva 4,193 votes (45.91%)
In an area “Pancharevo” GERB candidate Evgenia Alexiev won 5074 votes (61.81%), and independent candidate Nikolay Gyurov with 2636 votes (32.11%) remained second.
