The former mayor of Plovdiv, Ivan Totev, made a post on Facebook addressing the main opponents of GERB in Plovdiv – “PP-DB”. In the publication, he addresses questions to Prof. Ivaylo Staribratov and Pavel Nachev, asking whether the whole dirty campaign against them was necessary and whether it was worth it.
Here is Totev’s entire post:
The elections are over, the results are clear. Now how and if we will restore our relationship? Was all this necessary?
Pavel Nachev, how are you? Did you sleep well? After all the collages and slop you’ve been spewing in your wards’ FB groups? Did it make sense? I guess you’re not sorry. Dignity is required for this. I picked up the phone when you called me during the campaign just to show you that I’m not like you. You didn’t understand that either. I remember your mean comments on my FB wall that I didn’t delete. It did not work out.
It didn’t work, maybe because of the dirty campaign you ran. It never works with a dirty campaign. I can tell you firsthand. The campaigns against me in 2011 and 2015 were also dirty. Dirty than the current one. It didn’t work out then, it never does.
Staribratov, what happened that from a respected professor at the beginning, he ended up looking like an embittered person? Where did the “gentleman’s agreement on fair play and respect for personal dignity” go? Somewhere in the chatbot records, perhaps?
Kostadin Dimitrov, on the last day of the campaign, when asked what he thought of you, answered – a good person. This is dignity!
Your entire campaign took place in places built by GERB – Tsar Simeonova Garden, Roman Stadium, Kapana quarter. So you opened your campaign in my pride – the Great Episcopal Basilica. And there we heard the pitiful words of nothing done before you. It’s a shame, just like your campaign was.
