6 road accidents occurred on the territory of the district.
on 03.11.2023 at around 14.00 hours, on the road in the direction of the village of Komuniga – the town of Asenovgrad, the driver of a car lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a roadside barrier. No citizens were injured in the accident;
on 04.11.2023 at around 4:50 p.m. on the road between the town of Ardino – the town of Smolyan, on a bend, drivers of passenger cars did not leave enough distance when passing, during which they collided sideways. No citizens were injured in the accident;
on 04.11.2023 at around 17.00 hours on the road between Kardzhali – checkpoint “Chilik”, on a left turn, the driver of a car went off the road and crashed into the guardrail. No citizens were injured in the accident;
on 05.11.2023 at around 2:30 p.m. on the road between the town of Ardino – the village of Kroyachevo, the driver of a car, driving at an inappropriate speed, lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The driver of the vehicle was slightly injured and was examined on the spot by FSMP Ardino;
on 05.11.2023 at around 17.00 hours on the road between the town of Kardjali – the town of Haskovo, the driver of a car, driving at an inappropriate speed, lost control of the vehicle, entered the oncoming traffic lane and hit a properly moving bus. In the accident, a passenger in the passenger car was slightly injured and was examined on the spot by a CSMP team;
on 06.11.2023 at around 03:30 on Belomorski Blvd. in the town of Kardzhali, the driver of a car fell asleep behind the wheel, entered the oncoming traffic lane, hit a properly moving car and then a parked vehicle. No citizens were injured in the accident.
All drivers tested negative for alcohol. The perpetrators have been charged with criminal charges.
On 05.11.2023, in RU Kardzhali and RU Momchligrad, fast-track proceedings were initiated against two motor vehicle drivers who drove the cars after consuming alcohol, respectively 2.25 and 1.74 per thousand. The persons are detained for up to 24 hours.
