The independent candidate leads in the vote of voters in the second round of the local elections with 56.21 percent of the votes. They voted for him 9231 of those entitled to vote. The candidate of PP GERB, People’s Representative Ivelin Statev, collected 6778 votes or 41.27% of all those who voted.
Sabanov said that he and his team have been waiting for this moment for 12 years.
“Our first job is to check the financial situation of the municipality. We have many reports of corruption in recent years. We will do a full audit together with the Audit Office, the Economic Police, and the prosecutor’s office,” said Sabanov.

DPS candidate Nehat Kantarov collected 1,756 votes or 33.78% of all voters. “I do not support anyone” indicated 2.81 percent of those who voted.
