The Drama Theater in Targovishte celebrates the 11th edition of the “Night of Theaters” initiative with the premiere of “The Green Cat” by Elise Vilk. The performance will be in the chamber hall of the theater on November 18, at 7:00 p.m., the press service of the cultural institution informs.
“The Green Cat” is reality and fiction, a vagary of memory, a fragile puzzle with stories about the existence of some angels from the small hopeless and doomed town. Bianca, Danny, Florrie, Robert, Roxanne and Boogie are six innocent and cruel 16-19 year olds who not only understand that their dreams are an illusion, but that they no longer have illusions. Elise Wilk’s play is both about the world of young people who have to grow up fast and about the world of adults who find it difficult to cope with the responsibility of being a parent. Stories of love, friendship and the power of imagination to help us escape the reality we live in lift the curtain from the troupe.
The actors Lora Nedyalkova, Kalina Milanova, Elena Delcheva (guest), Radoslav Radev, Martin Petkov, Georgi Nachov will play the roles. The translator of the play is Lora Nenkovska, the director is Lyubomir Kolaksizov, the composer is Hristo Namliev. The lyrics of the songs are by Elena Decheva, and the choreographer is Denitsa Nikolova.
The European initiative “Night of Theaters” will turn Bulgarian cities into theater stages for the 11th year in a row, notes the theater in Targovishte.
