A delegation from the University of Al Mansoura, Egypt, is on a five-day visit to VTU “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” under the Erasmus+ program. In the period November 6-10, guests will give a series of lectures in English in the fields of history, sociology and Arabic to students and teachers.
The delegation, which was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of VTU, includes: Prof. Mahmoud Algiedi, Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Egypt, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nasrin Sadek, Professor of Sociology and Dr. Karim Abdalghani, history teacher.
“I am extremely happy to see so many friends from Egypt at Veliko Tarnovo University. Your visit is a sign that the relationship between the two educational institutions is deepening. I wish you a pleasant stay in our beautiful city and in our wonderful university”, said Prof. Dimitrov in his greeting.
The meeting was also attended by: Assoc. Dr. Anna Ivanova, Vice-Rector of VTU and Prof. Dr.Sc. Karim Naama, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics. After the meeting, the guests from Egypt also met with Prof. Dr. Hristo Bonjolov, vice-rector for academic activities, pointed out from VTU and recalled that to date 4 students from Egypt are studying at the university in the old capital.
