Secondary school “Nayden Gerov” in Varna celebrates its 60th anniversary with a series of events

With a flash mob and a dance at the entrance to the Sea Garden, the VII Secondary School “Nayden Gerov” in Varna started the celebrations marking its 60th anniversary. Graduates from all classes, representatives of the vocal group, cheerleaders and Tropanitsa folk dance groups participated. In greeting, the children shared that 60 years for the Seventh School is a time of progress with good teachers, successes, heights, games and friendship, after which they released colorful balloons into the sky.
The culmination of the celebrations is on November 5, 2024, when the 60th anniversary of the school’s founding will be celebrated, and there will be a big concert and a solemn pedagogical council, director Maria Nesterova told BTA. We decided to celebrate our holiday with many events. One of them will be an exhibition of photos of current teachers from their childhood years, which will be arranged in the school in December.
In the last month of the year, there will be a tea meeting with memories of former teachers, Ralitsa Georgieva, the chairman of the organizing committee for the celebrations, told BTA. Then a portrait gallery of all the principals of the school since its foundation in 1964 will be created, which will be exhibited on the second floor of the building, she pointed out.
The materials on the occasion of the anniversary will be decorated with a jubilee logo, which will be made by students and selected through a competition that is currently taking place, Georgieva said, and specified that all received proposals will be shown in an exhibition.
In the month of January next year, the plan of the organizing committee envisages a meeting with former graduates of “Nayden Gerov” Secondary School under the motto “Personalities of success”. In the spring, the graduates will plant a grove on the terrain determined by the Municipality and will make a 60-kilometer hiking trip with ten rays of six kilometers in the vicinity of Varna, Georgieva also announced.
