For another year, “Center for Testing and European Certification” Ltd. (CIES) hosted the annual working meeting for 2023 of the Forum of Notified Bodies in Bulgaria, with the chairman, Eng. Blagovesta Shineva.
The meeting was held on two consecutive days – on November 2 and 3, in the “Armira” hotel complex of the Staro Zagora mineral baths.
An official welcome to the representatives of the notified bodies was given by Eng. Evgeni Simeonov, chairman of the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Supervision (DAMTN).
Mrs. Silvana Ljubenova, director of the Technical Harmonization Directorate at the Ministry of Economy, as well as representatives of DAMTN and the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology and almost all Bulgarian notified bodies, also participated in the working meeting.
During the event, a report on the activity of the notified bodies for 2020 – 2022 was presented by Valeria Kishkin, director of the “Permits for Conformity Assessment” Directorate at DAMTN.
The topics that were discussed during the forum affected product safety, the implementation of European technical legislation and some European regulations in national legislation.
The participants in the forum also discussed the New legislative framework – what is to come, implementation of market supervision, technical supervision of facilities with increased danger such as elevators and other facilities.
These topics are relevant not only for notified bodies and economic operators, but also for society in general.
