Lyuboslav Penev’s place at the coaching post in Heber is not certain after the mayoral elections in Pazardzhik, according to the town. The 57-year-old coach is a man of the already ousted Todor Popov. It was the mayor until recently who brought Lubo to the hot seat in the local football team, fulfilling his every wish. Including a huge salary, the likes of which no one has ever seen in the entire history of sports in Pazardzhik.

Popov served a full four terms as mayor, but yesterday he lost the run-off battle to former volleyball player Petar Kulenski by a 10% margin.
No matter how paradoxical it sounds, the word goes that the new mayor will reduce the expenses of the football club, even though he was an athlete. This will probably reflect on Lyuboslav Penev, who enjoyed financial benefits until recently – and not only personally, but also for the whole team.
