Together, the women returned the money to the Plovdiv woman who was the victim of the robbery by them.
The 30-year-old Gergina Todorova and Malinka Naydenova, who are neighbors in the village of Trud, have been charged with stealing BGN 540 from a female customer in one of the large clothing and household goods stores in Plovdiv on June 4 this year. a purse worth BGN 30, with all items worth a total of BGN 570. In the case, it was clarified that the pickpockets disguised themselves with clothes they were allegedly shopping for. Subsequently, they paid with a credit and debit card owned by the injured woman for various types of goods for a little over 100 BGN.
After they were detained, Malinka Naydenova, who is currently on probation, has been detained for two months because of another sentence, and Gergina Todorova’s remand is “signature”. The two are old acquaintances of the police, with Gergina having five convictions for theft and Malinka six.
During today’s hearing, the two women fully admitted their guilt, and the court accepted the agreement between the prosecution and the accused. Gergina will have to serve a sentence of 2 years of imprisonment under a strict regime. She herself was last released from prison exactly at the end of 2021.
For Malinka, the sentence for this crime will be lighter. She will lie in the Sliven prison under a strict regime for 1 year and 10 months. The two ladies will not be fined.
