In many villages of the municipalities in the Plovdiv region, there was a second round of local elections, after no winner was announced in the first. Here’s who won the runoffs:

municipality of Asenovgrad

Narechenski Bani – Dimitar Bakalski (GERB) 244 (65.42%) against Velichka Kuchmova (BSP for Bulgaria) 123 (32.98%)

Stoevo – Ibryam Shaban (independent) 187 (52.23%) against Safet Halibryam (DPS) 154 (43.02%)

Zlatitrap – Svetoslava Tomova and Vasil Aleksandrov made it to the run-off, but Aleksandrov, who was nominated by PP “Vazrazhdane” refused to participate in the mayoral race and OIK Rodopi deleted him. Thus, Svetoslava Tomova (MK BSP for Bulgaria) was admitted to the second round, who received 326 (86.93%). 49 people (13.07%) voted for not supporting anyone.
