Zico: Congratulations to the new mayor, I believe he will do well

Mayor Zdravko Dimitrov will hand over a folder of projects to his successor Kostadin Dimitrov at the ceremonial inauguration on Wednesday.

“Congratulations to the new mayor, I believe he will do well. I wish him to work in sync with the Municipal Council, because at times I could not achieve it. Let the councilors also know that their every vote is important for the city. During the last mandate, we lost a lot of money because of their decisions, such as BGN 13 million for schools. I wish them to work for Plovdiv”, said Zico. He stated that after the victory of Kostadin Dimitrov, he called him to congratulate him and that these are normal relations, reports trafficnews.bg.

According to him, he leaves a good legacy to his successor – numerous objects that will be completed, as well as project readiness. Among the objects that the new Plovdiv mayor will open are “Moder-Tsarevets”, 5 new kindergartens, renovated schools, “Mladost” swimming pool, sports halls, as well as 40 million BGN provided for clean air.

Zico also said that the financial condition of the Municipality of Plovdiv is good, as all salaries and expenses are covered.

When asked when the turning point was, not to run for a second term, he stated that the decision was his personally. The mayor did not say what he will do from here.
