The re-elected mayor of Haskovo, Stanislav Dechev, thanked the citizens for their trust and announced that he will do everything in his power to justify their trust. Dechev added that he will count on his team during the new mandate as well. He shared that his biggest concerns are related to the stability of the state.
“Now we have work waiting for us. I am glad that between the two rounds we managed to win projects for two more kindergartens. Now our expectations are already for the rehabilitation of the blocks, very soon we will have good news. We won both dorms. Everything described in the program began to come true with rapid steps. The goal of the municipality is to create better conditions for people from all walks of life,” said Stanislav Dechev.
At the runoff in Haskovo on Sunday, Stanislav Dechev gathered 60.37 percent support, or 16,241 votes. His rival, the independent Nikolay Stavrev, has 37.37%, or 10,053 votes.
A better result in the Haskovo region compared to the previous elections, reported the regional leader of GERB, Delyan Dobrev. He added that the party won in seven municipalities.
