The first meetings of the newly elected five municipal councils in Silistra region will be held this week.
The regional governor of Silistra region, Mincho Yordanov, by his orders, scheduled the opening meetings in the new mandate of the municipal councils in the seven municipalities of the region, as follows:
on November 7 at 10 a.m. – Alfatar, at 2 p.m. – Kaynardzha;
on November 8 at 10 a.m. – Tutrakan, at 2 p.m. – Glavinitsa;
on November 9 at 2 p.m. – Sitovo;
on November 10 at 10 a.m. – Silistra, at 2 p.m. – Dulovo.
Meetings will be chaired by the most senior elected councilor until a chair is elected, which by regulation must happen by the end of the first session.
The Councils in Alfatar and Kaynardja will meet tomorrow.
The municipal council of Kaynardzha has 13 municipal councilors: GERB with 7, DPS with 3 and BZNS with 2 and BSP with 1.
In Alfatar, there are 11 mandates in the Municipal Council. They are distributed between 4 parties and coalitions. PP GERB has the most mandates – 6, followed by the BSP for Bulgaria with 2 mandates, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms – DPS with 2 mandates and the Coalition “Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” with 1 mandate.
