We will impose a new morality on the municipality – the municipality will be managed transparently. This is what the newly elected mayor of the municipality of Pleven, Dr. Valentin Hristov, from the political party GERB, says in a statement released to the media by the party’s press center in the city.
“I thank the citizens of Pleven for the great trust and support. I thank them for believing in me. Dear citizens of Pleven, what I can categorically promise you is that I will not disappoint you and betray you. I will work tirelessly to solve the problems of the city and the villages “, adds Dr. Hristov.
According to him, the first thing he will do is an audit of the previous administration, “to see what the financial situation of the municipality is, what basis we are standing on”.
“Citizens expect a fight against corruption, and this will happen,” the new mayor said categorically.
“Our main task is to create such an urban environment, such living and working conditions, that the people of Pleven feel happy in their hometown, and not flee abroad,” he said.
As his main priorities, Dr. Hristov points to the completion of the “Hemus” highway, the bypass of Pleven, the infrastructure in the city and villages, solving the water problem, and others.
We remind you that Dr. Valentin Hristov won the second round of the local elections in the municipality of Pleven with 63.62 percent of his support. In the runoff, he faced the previous mayor Georg Spartanski.
