Today in Chavdar, the swearing-in ceremony of Grigor Daulov, elected for the second term as mayor of the municipality, and the new municipal councilors took place. The ceremony was led by the regional governor Julian Lekov and was attended by the deputy regional governor Ivan Dimitrov, the honorary citizen and long-time mayor of Chavdar municipality Pencho Gerov and citizens.
The event began with the performance of the national anthem of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The Chairperson of the Municipal Election Commission, Ivanka Petkova, handed the certificates to the elected mayor Grigor Daulov and the municipal councilors, wishing them to work selflessly. They all swore before the regional governor, who said that Chavdar municipality is an emblem of quality in Sofia region.
Julian Lekov handed the mayor a symbolic key with which he wished the mayor and councilors to work in the interest of the citizens.
Panka Ilieva, the acting mayor of Chavdar municipality, congratulated Grigor Daulov on his new mandate and wished him good health so that he could implement new projects in the municipality.
“For these 4 years, you have proven that you are a good owner“, she said and handed the mayor the key to the municipality and a necklace with the wish that he will always be a good and caring owner. She ordered the councilors to be united in order to achieve success.
The first meeting of the Chavdar Association was chaired by the oldest participant, Ivan Neshkov. At the meeting, by secret ballot, Maria Tomeva was elected as the chairman of the municipal council, who thanked for the trust shown.
Grigor Daulov congratulated the elected municipal councilors on their election.
“I believe we will be able to work together. Today we are one team. I am sure none of us will betray chavdarchans. In the future, only work awaits us“, he said.
The councilors and the mayor were also greeted by Pencho Gerov.
