The Plovdiv District Court sent to prison the pickpockets Malinka Naydenova and Gergina Todorova, who on 06/04/2023 stole a wallet with credit cards from a customer’s backpack in a popular household goods store, a reporter told Plovdiv24.bg.

The defenders of the two dexterous ladies managed to conclude the desired agreement with the prosecutor’s office and were sentenced to two years of imprisonment for Gergina, as well as one year and ten months for Malinka under a strict regime.

Each one of the two has more than 5 convictions for theft over time, and Malinka is currently in Sliven prison because she committed a new crime in the condition of a continuing one.

In the hall, it became clear that the Plovdiv District Court will soon consider another case related to Gergina, who has not been able to enjoy her freedom for even two years, because her last release from prison was on December 31, 2021.

The victim, Maria Delcheva, was personally present in the hall and before the agreement she received the stolen amount of BGN 670.30. She was extremely emotional, thanked everyone present for their help and shared that she did not believe that the money would be returned to her.

The two neighbors from the village of Trud will now also be neighbors in prison, and the people of Plovdiv will be able to rest assured that there are two less pickpockets walking around the city.
