The winner of the runoff in the village is Levent Chaushev, raised by the Green Party. He is received the support of 139 of his fellow villagerswhich makes 47.93%.
His opponent – the previous village manager Zhivko Petelov from the DPS, has 138 votes. Or 47.59%.
13 of the residents of Teplen did not support any of the two candidates for village governors, BNR reported.

There were runoffs in several more villages in the area of Gotze Delchev. In Bogolin, Satovcha municipality, Alben Letkov from DPS became mayor. He defeated the incumbent Biser Karailiev from GERB, receiving 22 more votes.

In one of the largest villages in the neighboring municipality of Garmen – Debren, there is also a new mayor. There, the long-time mayor Turkyan Khojova lost to Fazli Rolev from DPS.
Ivan Izhbekhov is the new mayor of the resort village of Ognyanovo. The current mayor, Dimitiria Gyurova, is not running for a new mandate.
IN Mosomishte with a lead of about 160 votes, the mayoral seat is occupied by Anna Donkova, who is an independent candidate.
