Diplomat and former foreign minister Nadezhda Neinski, football legend Stiliyan Petrov and journalist and producer Georgi Toshev were among the motivational speakers during the Bulgaria Wants You career forum in Vienna.
“We talk about changing the country, but changing the country starts with changing each one of us. When the change in thinking begins – to think about what we can give and not take, then the change in the state will also begin,” said Neinski.
She talked about the hardships she went through during her first months in America, when she had $13 a day. Her family and children remain in Bulgaria, but her desire to be “part of this world” and the way she imagines the future of the country help her to be a successful minister of foreign affairs.
“We have always suffered from an inferiority complex, we tend to underestimate what we can do and achieve. What we lack is that we do not know how to work in a team. What is happening to us is the result of the long years of communism,” added Nadezhda Neynski.
Among the speakers at the event was the journalist and producer Georgi Toshev: “We must accept that our return to Bulgaria is not our failure, but our choice,” he said.
The next free career forum of Bulgaria Wants You is in Varna on December 2.
