Six parties and coalitions requested the counting of votes for the Municipal Council in Haskovo. A complaint for the non-recognition of the election results and the cancellation of the vote for the local self-government body has been submitted to the Administrative Court in the regional center, representatives of the political forces that filed the collective claim told BTA.

These are “We are coming”, “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria”, “BSP for Bulgaria”, “Bulgaria of the Regions”, “Vazrazhdane” and “VMRO-BND”. Our grounds are a gross violation of the electoral process and its manipulation, said the leader of the list of “We are coming” and newly elected councilor Marin Raichev. According to him, there are grounds to claim that the result was significantly affected by the violations and should be overturned.

We are talking about perhaps thousands of votes – written, erased or stolen, commented the candidate for mayor and leader of the list for municipal councilors of “Vazrazhdane” Georgi Georgiev. Corresponding evidence is also attached to the claim, pointed out the leader of the “BSP for Bulgaria” list Kamen Todorov. Rostislava Zhekova from “VMRO – BND” clarified that the decision for a collective action was taken even before the second round of voting in Haskovo.

In the first round of voting, the 41-member Municipal Council was filled according to the decision of the Municipal Election Commission as follows: “BSP for Bulgaria” two municipal councilors, GERB – 14. “Bulgarian Voice” – four, “Ima Talik Narod” – one, ” We are coming” – three, “Vazrazhdane” – two, “Bulgaria of the Regions” – three, Movement for Rights and Freedoms – nine and “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” – three.
