About BGN 3.5 billion are planned for the first maglev railway in Bulgaria. It must be ready by 2027 and connect the Cofia – Bygac and Cofia – Cvilengpad lines. By 2024, nearly BGN 2 billion of European and a smaller number of national funds will be invested in the modernization of railway lines and train control systems. About BGN 1.5 billion under the Operational Program “Transport and Transport Infrastructure”. BGN 732 million under the European Integration Mechanism for the period 2014-2020. According to the preliminary capital plan, the first maglev line from Sofia to Bygac and to the Bulgarian-Typical province should be completely completed by 2024. However, this will not happen. The reason is the heavy section of the railway line from Sofia – Lviv – from Elin Πelin to Koctenets, which is running for the second program period, the sections of which are scheduled for the period 2021-20 27 years
