By talking about money for the municipalities, Borisov is trying to quell a slight rebellion in GERB. This was stated on the air of BNT by the MP from PP-DB Nastimir Ananiev.

“He wants to satisfy the mayors because they have been there for 4 years. There are many mayors who decide to become independent, we have seen from the presidency that they reach out to some candidates,” he believes.

In his words, GERB “is falling apart a little”, and Borisov “fired his deputy”, referring to Slavena Tocheva, who left the parliament.

“Mr. Borisov’s only criticism from last night was against the word assembly. Excerpts from the smoke bag three more theses – he talks about tax on buildings, on real estate – all things that were proposed by the people who sat next to him,” said Ananiev .

Ananiev explained that there are also disagreements in PP-DB regarding the change of building tax, but if the text is adopted, each municipality will be able to decide whether and how to increase the fee.

“Borisov wanted to present it as if PP-DB is doing something that will somehow harm. The taxes themselves have not been touched since 2010,” said the deputy.

According to Ananiev, it is surreal for Borisov to talk about corruption “on the day when Barcelonagate became Istanbulgate”. He pointed out that the budget proposes investments of 12 billion, of which 1 billion is a fund for the municipalities. However, the problem in the municipalities is that no one has ready-made projects.

“The state says – here’s money for everyone and they say – we don’t have projects, we don’t have the administrative capacity to write projects. The pre-administrative readiness in the municipalities is at a very low level,” he said.

Nastimir Ananiev asked Boyko Borisov if he would give a named list of the pensioners whose pensions should be frozen, since he thinks that the pensions should not be raised.
