The prices of the main food commodities on the stock exchanges in the country remain unchanged this week as well, according to the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT), reports BTA.
The market price index (CPI), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in our country, rose by 0.32 percent to 2,213 points during the week. Last week the ITC was at the level of 2,206 points.
The level of ITC at the beginning of the year was 2,316 points, and in the first third of March it reached its spring maximum of 2,480 points. The base level of the ITC – 1,000 points – is from 2005.
Of the vegetables monitored by the DKSBT, greenhouse cucumbers rose in price the most during the week – by 11.6 percent to BGN 2.50 per kilogram. The price of tomatoes also jumps – by 7.4 percent and they are traded at BGN 3.48 per kilogram. Potatoes rose in price by 5.6 percent to BGN 1.32 per kilogram.
The price of carrots decreased by 5.8 percent to BGN 0.97 per kilogram. Ripe onions (import) are also cheaper – by 8.3 percent to BGN 1.32 per kilogram, cabbage – by 3.1 percent to BGN 0.93 per kilogram, red peppers – by 4.6 percent to BGN 2 BGN .09 per kilogram. Green peppers are sold 0.6 percent more expensive at BGN 1.71 per kilogram.
Imported apples fell by 1.1 percent and were traded at BGN 1.81 per kilogram. Oranges are also cheaper – by 3.1 percent to BGN 3.15 per kilogram. Lemons rose in price by 0.4 percent to BGN 2.32 per kilogram. The price of bananas increased by 0.7 percent to BGN 2.87 per kilogram. The price of grapes increased by 4.9 percent and they are bought for BGN 2.36 per kilogram.
The price of cow’s cheese increased by 0.5 percent and is sold at BGN 11.44 per kilogram, and Vitosha type cheese – by 0.6 percent to BGN 17.43 per kilogram.
Yoghurt milk (3 and over 3 percent fat content) increased in price by 0.5 percent and it is bought at BGN 1.18 for a bucket of 400 g. The price of fresh milk (3 percent fat content) rose by 0.5 percent and it is sold at BGN 2.19 per liter.
Chicken meat fell by 1.1 percent and is available at BGN 6.30 per kilogram. Eggs (size M) remain unchanged and are bought wholesale at BGN 0.34 per piece.
The price of rice decreased by 0.3 percent and it was traded at BGN 3.17 per kilogram. Lentils rose in price by 0.5 percent and are bought at BGN 4.18 per kilogram. Ripe beans fell by 2.2 percent and were traded at BGN 4.04 per kilogram.
Sugar fell by 1.3 percent and was sold at BGN 2.37 per kilogram. Oil became cheaper by 6.2 percent to BGN 2.73 per liter. Type 500 flour became cheaper by 2.2 percent to BGN 1.33 per kilogram. The price of cow’s butter (packet of 125 grams) rises by 3.2 percent and is sold at BGN 2.59 per unit.
