The young driver of the other car and the 28-year-old woman who was traveling with him were taken to the emergency room with minor injuries. It was found that the two had only lacerations, the driver had a hematoma on the head. They are released for home treatment.

As a football player, Spasov played 350 games for “Osm” (Lovech), where he had two periods, and also played for “Spartak” (Pleven), “Dnevnik” recalls.

According to the investigators, the cause of the accident was wet pavement during heavy rain.

A 19-year-old young man was transported to the Pleven hospital in a serious condition, and the 50-year-old driver of the other car was left for treatment at the Hunting hospital.

The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BFV) and Pleven announced three days of mourning.

In total, four people died and 28 were injured in a total of 20 serious road accidents in the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of the Interior announced. In Sofia, there were 25 minor accidents and one serious accident in which one person was injured.

Since the beginning of the month, there have been 223 serious road accidents in the country. 16 people died in them, and another 294 were injured. Since the beginning of 2023, there have been 6,063 accidents in the country, in which 466 people lost their lives. A total of 7,925 people were injured.
