The BSP joins the army that is attacking me from the side of PP and DB. I can’t explain it, they have to say what kind of backroom set up they got into. Vanya Grigorova, who lost the mayoral race in Sofia, said this to Nova TV on Sunday.
She commented on the statements of Atanas Zafirov from the BSP that the unsuccessful candidate Vanya Grigorova should stop repeating “I” in the studios, because this greatly insults and neglects the efforts of the members and sympathizers of the BSP.
“Let Mr. Zafirov figure out who was the engine of the whole campaign. Zafirov obviously decided to attack the candidate, who is also from BSP-Sofia. Let them fix their party problems and not involve me”, said Grigorova.
She added that the BSP had 36,000 votes in the parliamentary elections in Sofia, and she had 80,000 votes in the first round, and 170,000 votes in the second round.
Grigorova specified that individuals in the party prefer to compromise rather than work in the interest of the people.
“I am not a competitor of Cornelia Ninova. I urge the people who have stressed themselves out on Positano to drink tea and calm down,” she added.
According to her, a new political project is not on the agenda. “It is useful and effective to have a left unity. If the left space is not fragmented, it is obvious that this is a successful formula, but whether it will happen and who will do it, I cannot say”, added Grigorova.
