Police cordoned off the area around the Vasil Levski National Stadium due to a fire on Dragan Tsankov Blvd. The incident was reported around 9 a.m. this morning.
According to the DG Fire Safety and Protection of the Population, a car caught fire in the underground parking lot of the Metropolitan, Vasil Levski station. It has not yet been determined whether the car had a gas cylinder.
Three firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene. At the moment, the fire is localized, and smoke removal activities are being carried out.
Other cars are not affected. No people were injured.
We remind you that, in connection with the football match between Bulgaria and Hungary, today is also introduced change in the organization of traffic around the National Stadium.
From 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on November 16, standing and parking are prohibited on the bridge parking lot in front of the Vasil Levski National Stadium, as well as on Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Blvd. between Dragan Tsankov Blvd. and Gen Gurko St. on the side of the National Stadium, on Gen Gurko St. between Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Blvd. and Lyuben Karavelov St.
From 1:00 p.m. on 16/11/2023 until the end of the football match, only if necessary and at the discretion of the SDVR management, the entry of road vehicles, with the exception of mass urban transport buses, will be prohibited on Evlogi Blvd. Hristo Georgievi” (in the section between “Dragan Tsankov” Blvd. and “Orlov Most” Square), along “Gen. Gurko” St. between “Evlogi i Hristo Georgievi” Blvd. and “Vasil Levski” Blvd., along “Hristo Georgievi” Blvd. “Dragan Tsankov” between Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Blvd. and Peyo K. Yavorov Blvd.
