In Pleven, from November 23 to 26, there will be a honey and bee products bazaar. This was announced today at a press conference at the National Press Club of BTA in Pleven, Assoc. Yulian Stanchev, chairman of the Regional Beekeeping Union.
The idea of the organizers is to turn the event into a true celebration of honey and bee products, and to remind the people of Pleven how necessary and useful they are for health, especially during the autumn-winter season.
The bazaar is organized by the Regional Beekeeping Union – Pleven, the newly established cooperative “Pleven Med 2023” and “Partners Expo” Ltd. It will pass under the patronage of the mayor of the municipality of Pleven Dr. Valentin Hristov. The opening will be on November 23, Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at the “Vazrazhdane” square, where the production of beekeepers from the Pleven region will be exhibited. Many surprises are also prepared for visitors, as well as opportunities for tasting different types of honey and even mead.
On Saturday, in the salon of the Military Club, the chairman of the Association of Apitherapists in Bulgaria, Dr. Evgeni Petkov, will give a lecture on “Bee products as food and medicine”. On the days of the exhibition, a workshop for children will be organized in the lobby of the “Saglasie” Community Center, where the technology for making beeswax candles will be presented.
There will also be an exhibition of works from the traditional international children’s competition “Beekeeping – ecology and fertility. Bee products – health and longevity”, which takes place within the framework of the beekeeping exhibition in Pleven in February.
For the first time in Pleven, on Saturday, before Dr. Petkov’s lecture, a European honey breakfast will be held.
We hope for great interest in the bazaar, for the people of Pleven to appreciate the quality of honey and bee products produced in our region, Assoc. Stanchev emphasized.
