The ballet performance “Solveig’s Song” based on Henrik Ibsen’s “Peer Gynt” will be presented by 70 children from “Klasika” Secondary School at “Nadezhda” community center in V. Tarnovo and their friends. The premiere will take place at the “Konstantin Kisimov” theater in the old capital on November 26 at 6 p.m., and due to the great interest, the seats are already almost sold out.
In the main roles, the audience will see the premier soloist of the State Opera St. Zagora – Fjordi Loha, who will play Per Gynt, Magdalena Hristova, who will be reincarnated as Solveig, and the head and choreographer of the Pletenitsa Folklore Collective – Nikolay Korchev, who will play the role of the Mountain Tsar. Children from the “Klasika” ballet school will transform into forest fairies, spirits, trolls and others, and 10 of their peers from the “UN BESO art & dance center” will present an Arab dance, said Desislava Hristova from the “Klasika” school. The music is by Edvard Grieg, the staging is by Marin Udvarev, and the costumes are by Nadezhda Nikolova and Olga Atroshenko.
Admission to the event is by invitation.
We remind you that the previous performance of the ballet school – “The Snow Queen” was presented in 2022 and also caused great interest.
