After the pollution of the Beli Lom river: What is the sanction of the waterworks operator of Razgrad – Razgrad

“Vodosnabdevane – Danube” EOOD has been imposed current monthly sanction in the amount of BGN 42,358. for established deviations from the individual emission limits (IEO) of the monitored parameters in the waste water, recorded in the discharge permit, announced by the RISW-Ruse.

The deviations were established after analysis of the water samples taken from the outlet of the City Water Treatment Plant for Wastewater in the beginning of October.

They reported significant deviations from the standards for waste water at the treatment plant in Razgrad

The operator is given instructions to take action to reach the norms in the discharge permit, in view preventing pollution of the Beli Lom river.

The waterworks operator was sanctioned in September in connection with the numerous odor signals in Razgrad, when a technical malfunction was detected in the station and deviations from the emission limits.

In compliance with the instructions given by the RISW, the operator of the WWTP has undertaken repairs, which ended at the end of October.

In November, during an on-site inspection, it was established that the technological sequence of wastewater treatment that enters the WWTP has been restored, with some of the facilities still in process of optimizing their work.
