The sum of 6711 BGN was collected during the charity concert “Let’s donate together” in Haskovo. The money will go to finish the construction work of the Orthodox Saint Ivan Rila Church in the largest Haskovo district “Orpheus”.
The musical event took place in the local sports hall “Druzhba” last wednesdayas the initiator was the folk singer Todor Kozhuharov. Eight took part in it singing and dancing formations.
They were open today the six boxesin which the laity collected funds for the completion of the House of God during the concert.
For about two decades, according to “St. Ivan Rilski”, there was only one sporadic construction workand in the last four years until this spring nothing was done in this direction.
At the end of May construction was resumed in full force mainly thanks to donations from the laity in Haskovo. Since then, the head of the temple Father Nicholas organized several initiativesrelated to the foundation for the church, and he himself actively seeks and finds sponsors.
