In the Yambol Administrative Court, two cases related to a request to cash in elections were heard today. The results in the village of Trunkovo in Elhovo and in Popovo in Bolyarov are disputed.

In the village of Trunkovo, the result is disputed by the candidate of “We continue the change”, Milena Ilieva, who received 35 votes, and her opponent Elena Tancheva from GERB has 45.

Today the court rejected the request for a graphological examination of the signatures of the applications for voting at the present address, the chairman of the Elhovo Municipal Electoral Commission Vasilka Jondrova specified:

“No one can say who these 14 voted for. The vote is not public, the vote is secret. Firstly, there is no comparative material for graphological expertise, secondly – the people who submitted applications voted and they are on the electoral roll, that they are voted. The appellant does not challenge the voter’s list”.

In the other case for counting the elections in the village of Popovo, the Administrative Court rejected the request for a recount of the ballots from the runoff.

The next court hearing is scheduled for November 20. Then the voter list will be presented to the court to find out if there are people who have voted under the line.

For Popovo, the result is disputed by the “Vazrazhdane” candidate Dimitrinka Mollova. She received 68 votes in the runoff. The winner of the mayoral seat, Angel Apostolov from “BSP”, has 75 votes.
