This is what the president commented
I follow with serious concern what is happening in the National Assembly. The majority must realize that the power is above all a conscious responsibility to the citizens, and not a gambling trickery. While parliament and government are playing for power, processes with a strong destructive charge are taking place. Don’t you see that we are ruining our energy and economy ourselves. We cut the European perspective. We are sabotaging our own national priorities. President Rumen Radev commented on this.
“A month ago, I warned that the new energy contribution would decapitalize Bulgartransgaz and there would be a strong negative reaction in Europe. Then the rulers vociferously denied. Unfortunately, only today do they seem to be beginning to realize the extent of the damage they are causing. Because the debt of “Bulgartransgaz” is already over 250 million. Hungary submitted a claim against Bulgaria to the EC. That is why these emergency measures were taken today, in a panic, so that the bleeding of Bulgartransgaz does not continue, the president pointed out.
According to Radev, next year’s budget will not include the “dreamy billions” from the contribution, and Bulgaria has already pointed the finger as an “unreliable partner”. “Bulgaria is clearly becoming narrow for the obsession with greatness of some people. Who are already trying to dictate the decisions of sovereign states – of our allies and partners. On which we rely for Schengen”, he added.
