The national football team hosts Hungary today at 19:00 in a Group G match of the European qualifiers.
Two hours before the starting signal of the Polish referee Daniel Stefanski, in the vicinity of the national stadium “Vasyl Levski”, a large-scale protest began against the management of the BFS, demanding the immediate resignation of the boss Borislav Mihailov and his entourage.

The headquarters in Boyana tried to avoid this scenario by moving the match to Plovdiv with the excuse that it was a UEFA decision, but their efforts proved to be in vain and in the end “Vasil Levski” will host the match, but without an audience.
Given the situation in our group, in which Bulgaria occupies the last place with 2 points, the stadium was hardly going to burst at the seams, but BFS raised the interest of the fans with their strange maneuvers. More than 10,000 fans of all colors are expected to protest, and about 1,600 policemen will take care of peace and order.
The match will be the official debut for coach Ilian Iliev, who was appointed after the release of Mladen Krastaic. In their previous match of the group under the leadership of the Serbian, Bulgaria lost 0:3 against Hungary in Budapest, and the result could have been more expressive.
Iliev is expected to bet on a familiar line-up: Daniel Naumov, Viktor Popov, Valentin Antov, Alex Petkov, Anton Nedyalkov, Ilia Gruev, Ivaylo Chochev, Kiril Despodov, Filip Krastev, Georgi Rusev, Martin Minchev.
Regardless of what happens in and around the stadium, let’s wish Iliev and the national team the best of luck tonight.
