With a jubilee concert, they celebrated 80 years since the opening of PGSAG “Lubor Bayer”

The anniversary concert on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the opening of the “Lubor Bayer” Vocational School of Construction, Architecture and Geodesy at the “Stara Zagora” Cultural Center this evening was kicked off with the anthem of the Republic of Bulgaria. The official guests of the celebration were the Minister of Education and Science during the 44th National Assembly, Member of Parliament in the 49th National Assembly and Chairman of the Commission for Education and Science Krasimir Valchev, the Deputy Mayors of Stara Zagora Municipality Nadezhda Chakarova and Arch. Martin Paskalev, the regional governor of Stara Zagora Iva Radeva, the head of RUO Milena Yoldova-Stoyanova, the chairman of the public council at PGSAG “Lubor Bayer” Lilia Mihailova, the chairman of the Chamber of Builders in Bulgaria, Regional Representation – Stara Zagora Plamen Mihalev, representatives of business and higher education schools, principals, teachers, former and current alumni.

IMG_6089 copyKrasimir Valchev, who is also a former graduate of the high school, addressed the leadership, teachers and students. “It is a special joy for me to be here at the celebration of our school – dear, unforgettable, pride for everyone who was part of it. PGSAG “Lubor Bayer” makes an invaluable contribution to the city and the business sector. I express my thanks to all former and current teachers who have contributed with energy and knowledge to the establishment of the high school over the years. I wish health and strength to everyone who continues to give so much of themselves, and to the students – success in your professional realization, I am convinced that when you achieve it, you will be grateful to the high school”, said Krasimir Valchev.

“It is a great honor for me to be among you today on this very special celebration that acknowledges the many years of success and work of all past and present teachers, students and everyone who has contributed to the mission of the high school. PGSAG “Lubor Bayer” is an invariable part of the history of Stara Zagora, a school with a rich past and a bright future. Happy holiday!”, congratulated Nadezhda Chakarova. She presented a congratulatory address to the director of Lubor Bayer High School, Eng. Georgi Slavov, on behalf of the mayor of the municipality, Zivko Todorov.

The regional governor of Stara Zagora, Iva Radeva, also congratulated the leadership. Iliyan Shasov and Nikola Kolev, 12th grade students, received a certificate and award for worthy defense of the school’s authority from the director Eng. Georgi Slavov on the occasion of winning first place at the National Competition “Best Young Builder” for 2023 in the discipline ” Masonry”.

A special gift was made to the high school by Rafail Raikov, a former graduate who graduated back in 1950 – a model of the school building made of matchsticks, the fruit of his three years of work. In the family of Rafail Raykov, there are representatives of several generations who graduated from Lubor Bayer School, the last of whom is Vyara – a 10th grade student. She presented the model on behalf of her grandfather, which will be placed in the lobby on the first floor of the school.

The solemn concert was accompanied by a rich singing and dancing program, in which the children from DG No. 3 “Yan Bibian”, the graduate of NUMSI “Hristina Morfova” Ivet Atanasova, a collective formation of dancers, students from PGSAG “Lubor Bayer”, ballet school took part “Extravaganza” and Children’s Dance Group “Zagortsi”.
