Bogdan Bogdanov: It is extremely important to preserve our strategic asset in “Lukoil Neftohim Burgas”

The state must build the necessary infrastructure and strategic capacity for critical situations, the Minister of Economy pointed out

The Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov stated that it is extremely important for Bulgaria to preserve its strategic active in “Lukoil Neftohim Burgas” and for him to continue working at maximum capacityBNR reported.

The state must build the necessary infrastructure and strategically capacity for critical situations, he pointed out:

“Our country must have the opportunity at any moment to react and guarantee that the interest of the Bulgarian citizens, the interest of this strategic activeand, is protected. It’s not that we don’t want to get rid of certain dependencies of our country that have been like that for the last 15 years. On the contrary, we want a lot, but we have to clearly reckon with it sometime, coming to this situation, what our country has at its disposal as capacity. I can say that there is already a relatively good readiness in terms of prepared expertise, in terms of market research, for our state to react in a very short period of time. But this term also depends a lot on supplies and budget. Yes, it will cost us some state resource to maintain some experts, to maintain certain ones capacityand, quantities and commitments that at any moment, if a force majeure situation occurs, we can react. But this is the independence that Bulgaria must build now“.
