The new MINI models debuted in Bulgaria

A few months before the official introduction to the market, the two models from the new MINI family were presented in our country. After the world premiere in September, the new electric MINI Cooper and the new crossover MINI Countryman were shown for the first time in Bulgaria. The new all-electric MINI Cooper and the new MINI Countryman impress with an original design that is in line with both the urban character of MINI and the love of innovation of the MINI community.

The proportions of the new generation models with short overhangs, a short hood, a long wheelbase and large rims are typical of MINI models. The visual division of the body into three parts, the wraparound glazing area and the striking contrasting roof make the new MINI models instantly recognizable.

The design of the fully electric MINI Cooper as well as the MINI Countryman looks very exciting thanks to the original layout of the details. The hidden door handles, the absence of extensions on the fender arches and the side grills emphasize the modern look. The clearly defined shoulder line of the new MINI models gives them a distinctly athletic body.

The car’s nimble character on all new models is also emphasized by new LED daytime running light elements and matrix LED rear lights with three different settings.

A typical MINI innovative space utilization concept ensures maximum flexibility and varied design in the interior. The on-board experience marks a tangible technological leap with the new MINI OS 9 operating system, which is optimized for touch and voice control.

The circular OLED display in the middle is both an instrument panel and a screen for settings and comfort. Textile surfaces in the interior revolutionize the aesthetics of the interior space, reducing it to the essentials and creating a feeling of coziness and warmth.

With the new MINI family, Cooper designates all MINI 3-door, 5-door and MINI Cabrio variants, with Cooper e now part of the model name rather than indicating the drivetrain. The new all-electric MINI Cooper is available in a Cooper E version and as a Cooper SE, with more power and range. The electric motor with a power of 184 hp. of the MINI Cooper E produces a torque of 290 Nm and accelerates the car from a standstill to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.

The new MINI Cooper SE has a power of 218 hp. and with a maximum torque of 330 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The range is 305 km for the MINI Cooper E and 402 km for the MINI Cooper SE according to the WLTP cycle. The introduction of the new MINI Cooper to the market is from May 2024. The base prices for Bulgaria, valid from November 2023, are BGN 62,900 for the MINI Cooper E and BGN 70,800 for the MINI Cooper SE.

The new MINI Countryman has grown significantly compared to its predecessor, offering even more space and comfort. The model will be offered both with an all-electric drive and with gasoline and diesel engines with internal combustion.

The electric motor with a power of 204 hp. of the MINI Countryman Cooper E produces a torque of 250 Nm and accelerates the crossover from a standstill to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.

The electric MINI Countryman SE ALL4 with a power of 313 hp. is all-wheel drive and achieves a combined torque of 494 Nm, accelerating the model from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. The mileage according to the WLTP cycle is 462 km for the MINI Countryman Cooper E and 433 km for the MINI Countryman Cooper SE ALL4.

The market launch of the new MINI Countryman is from February 2024 for the internal combustion engines and May for the all-electric variants. The base prices for Bulgaria, valid from November 2023, are BGN 74,650 for the petrol MINI Countryman C and BGN 104,900 for the MINI Countryman John Cooper Works sports modification.
