The graduates of the art school “Colorit” – Pleven – Nina Encheva, 13 years old, and Ivalina Atanasova, 15 years old, returned from the capital of Armenia – Yerevan with gold trophies from the “Health 2023” competition. They received them at a solemn ceremony at the 9th International Festival of Drawings for Pediatric Patients. It is organized by the Health and Art Group (NEART) in Iran – an international association of doctors from around the world with the charitable goal of caring for the mental health of sick children around the world through art.
The festival is held annually in different countries, on different continents. The drawings of the winners take part in exhibitions organized in children’s wards of hospitals around the world. A few days ago, the poster exhibition of the works of the awarded children was shown in the halls of the “Ilia Beshkov” gallery – Pleven at the opening of the new creative season of the Pleven school.
The curator of the international exhibition, Maya Ananieva – head of the “Kolorit” art school, will also present it in children’s departments of clinics and hospitals in Pleven and the country.
In 2023, children and young people up to the age of 18 from 20 countries on 5 continents participated in the drawing competition, divided into four age groups. Nina and Ivalina were accompanied to the ceremony by their families. They had the opportunity to experience together the great success of their children, and also to get acquainted with the beauty and historical and cultural sights of Yerevan. Each of the awarded children received a gift and a portrait drawn by an Iranian artist.
