By 1,526 the readers of “Hristo Botev” Regional Library – Vratsa only for 10 days, during the announced Open Days 2023dedicated on November 1.

New reader cards were taken from the library by 887 readers of the “Home Borrowing” department, 393 – of the Children’s Department and 246 – of a branch in the “Dabnika” residential area. For the period from October 31 to November 10, we organized numerous events, he said Milena Nikolova from the library:

“For these 10 days we also held 26 events for students and two book presentations, as a special highlight this year was our meeting with the first graders from the schools in Vratsa. On the first day of school they received their new reader cards from the library, this was our next step to visit them on site, with our traveling library, the so-called electric ‘Bibliobus’.”

During the Open Days, a guest of the library with his debut novel “Howl” was the young ecologist and writer Alexander Petrov, who wrote under the pseudonym Alexander Skald. In front of a full reading room, Prof. Boyan Biolchev also presented his entire work.

The one-year reader’s subscription is for all departments, services and resources of the library, the cultural institution also reported.
