New deputy mayor of Lovech took office – that’s it Peter Marinov, by taking over the “Construction, structural planning and improvement” sector, announced the Municipality.

He was greeted by the mayor Strazimir Petkov and by the chairman of the Municipal Council, Stefan Tiholov. The mayor handed him a badge of the Municipality and a folder for current tasks with a wish for success in the new workplace.

“There is a lot to work on, to upgrade and build. I believe that we will work as a team because we have known each other for a long time and I know about your professionalism. Have a good time and good luck!”, said the mayor Stracimir Petkov.

Petar Damyanov Marinov was born on May 9, 1963 in the village of Vladinya, Lovech municipality. He graduated from the Technical School of Construction, majoring in “Geodesy, mapping and photogrammetry” in Stara Zagora in 1982.

After that, he was a student at the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski” in Sofia, specialty “Surveying and Geodesy”. He has a second master’s degree from TU-Sofia, “Engineer-Manager” specialty.

From 1982 to 1990, he worked in SP “Territorial Cadastre” in Lovech as a designer, from 1991 to 1995 he had a private practice as a surveyor, and from 1995 to 2017 he was head of department in Lovech Municipality.

Then again there is private practice. Petar Marinov is a member of the Chamber of Surveyors, a member of the Union of Surveyors and Land Planners, a member of the Chamber of Engineers in investment design with full design legal capacity. There are over 36 years of experience in the field of cadastre and urban planning.
