An innovation camp is held at the PG “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Vidin. 30 students participated, divided into 6 teams. Each of them must solve a specific case study and prepare a presentation. The theme is “Sustainable Fashion for a Better Future,” said senior economics teacher Veronia Varbanova, adding:
“I guess the theme was provoked by the thousands of textile waste that is thrown away every year. This large amount of textiles could be reused and that’s what children should be thinking about.”
The idea behind the “Magnetic” club is to use the waste from textile production in construction, explained student Yasmina Vitanova.
“In the insulation activity, we’re tying it in with an EU idea to limit climate change, because that’s a huge problem as well. So we’re looking to accommodate that for our own good and for our own good.”
The innovation camp is held within the framework of the World Entrepreneurship Week, organized by the “Junior Achievement” foundation, said teacher Radka Vancheva:
“In the innovation camp, students develop their teamwork skills, make the right decisions under pressure and in very short deadlines, show their presentation skills and plan their business.”
