Drawing and essay contests on a theme “Haskovo – the city of the Thracian governors” organized by the Municipality of Haskovo and the Regional History Museum, announced the town hall.
The competitions are dedicated to the 179th anniversary of the birth of the legendary Bulgarian hero Captain Petko voivoda, who is also an honorary citizen of Haskovo.
Children and students from the municipality of Haskovo can participate in the competitions. Each participant can present one drawing and/or one essay on the specified topic. In the process of preparing the works, all children and students can use the experts from RIM-Haskovo as consultants.
Contest entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on December 11, 2023. Each entrant provides an up-to-date contact phone number and email address, and indicates the school and grade in which he/she is studying.
The essays are sent to e-mail: [email protected] or on paper to Milen Slavov – chap. expert “Education” in Haskovo Municipality.
The drawings must be presented in the Municipality of Haskovo: to Milen Slavov – ch. expert “Education”.
The drawings will be judged by the artists: Tatiana Foreva, Nedelcho Kuchkov and Borislav Danev-Borku. The jury for the essays will consist of: Dr. Veselina Uzunova – historian, Levent Halil – philologist and Velichka Georgieva – teacher and researcher of the life and work of Captain Petko voivoda.
The awards for the most impactful drawing and essay will be presented at a ceremony on December 18 – the 179th anniversary of the birth of Captain Petko voivoda. The time and place of the ceremony will be announced later.
