In Blagoevgrad, the final part of the “Integrated urban transport of the city of Blagoevgrad” project was completed, which was implemented with the financial support of the “Regions in Growth” operational program. The main goal of the project is to increase the quality of life of the citizens and reduce the negative impacts on the environment by improving the conditions of mass public urban transport on the territory of Blagoevgrad. The new electric buses will lead to an improvement in the speed and quality of service of the public city transport, the project team insists.
The benefit for citizens is the ensured better quality of service for passengers, easier access for people in a disadvantaged position, zero emission of harmful emissions.
There is an increased interest in using public transport as an alternative to car transport, the project team also said.
