Record number of participants in the Yambol Municipality “Christmas” contest

Christmas cards are already being printed with award-winning drawings, which will be distributed for charity to replenish the fund of the “Lend a Hand, Save a Life” campaign

On the eve of the Christmas holidays, 1002 children supported the Yambol Municipality charity campaign “Lend a hand – save a life” with their drawings by participating in this year’s “Christmas” contest. The happy thing is that with each passing year the number of works increases, which on the one hand stimulates young talents, and on the other hand makes more and more families sympathize with the cause of helping seriously ill Yambol children and youth, commented the evaluation committee. For comparison, in 2021 the number of drawings was 600, in 2022 – 773, and now there are 1002.

In this year’s competition, 115 of the authors were awarded, and their drawings were awarded by a committee consisting of: Petko Yordanov – artist and director of the George Papazov Art Gallery – Yambol; Petar Tepsizov – artist and curator at the “George Papazov” Art Gallery – Yambol; Diana Dimitrova – Director of the Directorate “Culture, Sports, Youth Activities, Tourism and Public Relations” in Yambol Municipality; Elena Kumanova – manager of the Cultural and Information Center “Bezisten” – Yambol and Pavlina Serbova – artist and expert at the Cultural and Information Center “Bezisten” – Yambol.

The awards will be presented on December 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the “Bezisten” Cultural and Information Center – Yambol.

The Christmas cards of the mayor of Yambol Municipality will be with the drawings of Gennady Minchev (5 years old, “Red Riding Hood”), Mariana Stoyanova (III class, NU “Prof. P. Noykov”) and Victoria Hristova (VII class, SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”), who were ranked first in the three age groups and accordingly receive a prize of 100 BGN.

The Christmas card of the chairman of the Municipal Council-Yambol will be with the drawing of Veliyan Ivanov (IV kl., “Nikolay Petrini” Elementary School), and the advertising materials of the festival “Yambolsky Koledarski Buenek” – 2023 will have the work of Simona Mihailova (VII kl., SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”).

The cards, which will be distributed for the charity purpose of raising funds for the “Lend a Hand, Save a Life” campaign fund, this year will feature the drawings of Alexandra Yordanova (5 years old, Blik School), Katerina Taneva (6 years old , DG “Svoboda”), Donika Todorova (I class, NU “Prof. P. Noikov”), Danaya Naydenova (II class, NU “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”), Hrisia Sakhandzhieva (II class, “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” NU), Danail Ivanov (IV class, “Nikolay Petrini” Elementary School), Lilia Ribarova (5th class, “Lyuben Karavelov” Elementary School), Radmila Mangelova (Vth class, “Lyuben” Elementary School Karavelov”), Gergana Ivanova (6th grade, “Yordan Yovkov” Elementary School”) and Joana Georgieva (7th grade, “Lyuben Karavelov” Elementary School). The cards will cost BGN 2 and will be sold at the Cultural and Information Center “Bezisten” – Yambol and retail outlets that support the campaign.
