Bulgaria announced three finalists at the European Men’s Under-22 Boxing Championship in Budva. Ergunal Sebakhtin (48 kg), Yasen Radev (54 kg) and Radoslav Rosenov (60 kg) will box for the gold medals on Sunday in the ring in Montenegro.
Sebakhtin defeated Mihai Porombak (Moldova) by knockout in the third round and will meet Musheg Bayanduryan (Russia) for the gold.
Radev managed a 5-0 vote against the representative of Kosovo Bashkim Bayoku and on Sunday he will box with Andrey Peglivanyan (Russia).
Rosenov, for his part, beat the local talent Tomislav Djinovich 4:1 and will compete with Konstantin Opolsky (Russia).
Bad luck befell our last representative in the semi-finals today, William Cholov, who had to settle for the bronze medal in the 75 kg category because of an arcade. Our national player was hit in the head by the Russian Cherav Ashalaev at the end of the first round, and because of the wound, the Bulgarian could not continue, and the referees named his opponent as the winner.
